FOUR DECADES OF BLESSED YEARS

BLESSED CHURCH- FOR more than Four decades this congregation never wavered but stood pat to God’s faithfulness and endured the test and the onslaught of time.As the Blueridge Bible Baptist Church celebrated her 43rd anniversary, Reverend Abe Vallega lead pastor of the congregation for forty years welcomed some 1,167 people who attended and joined the 4 days festivity from August 26 to 30. 312 people were first time visitors and out of them were 138 who professed to the saving grace of God and with 5 converts baptized. On this year’s theme” Let Us Go Unto Perfection”. BBBC Founder Rev Arthur Sims, who started the said church in 1966 was foremost among the guests speakers. On the 27th day, Malacanang presidential adviser for religious affairs and senior pastor of The Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Tatalon ,Quezon City Bishop Reuben M Abante spoke on “ Filled Churches”. Next day was , Rev Lito Santiago of the International Bible Baptist Church of Sta Clarita, California, USA who delved “ On The Ministry”. Lastly on the 30th day and anniversary climax, Rev Vallega dealt on the Anniversary theme” Let Us Go Unto Perfection”. Meanwhile,in recognition to his sterling service to God for Forty years, Reverend Abe Vallega was honored by the brethren as a faithful shepherd of the Lord in a simple ceremony held at the Tejeros Hall of the AFP in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The award was presented by Manila Congressman, Dr Benny M Abante, the senior pastor of the Metropolitan Bible Baptist Church in Revillen, Sta Ana, Manila.(romy sison).
