NEWLIFE BIBLE BAP HOSTS 10th WORLD MISSIONS CONFERENCE

AN OVERWHELMING EXCITEMENT came after a large throng of pastors numbering some 105 along with at least 28 pastor's wives, 300 out-of-town guests and some 234 congregational workers from different Christian Assemblies of Baptists from neighboring provinces in the Visayan region and Mindanao arrived at the Newlife Bible Baptist Church in this town to participate in the 10th World Missions Conference held last May 12- 14, 2009, sources close to the Chronicle said.

DrRenato(Totong) Rebaton, senior pastor of the said church and one of the strong leaders in the community of Baptists in the Visayas was visibly blessed even as he welcomed the men of God led by Dr Armie F. Jesalva senior pastor of Cebu Bible Baptist Church in Katipunan, Cebu City. Pastor Jesalva, who heads the biggest Baptist church in the Philippines in terms of membership of over Twenty Thousand believers spoke on the conference theme “ Not Mine But Thine Lord In 2009”

Other pastors who spoke and challenged the congregational leaders were Rev Boy Arsaga, Rev Eddie Gerodias, Rev Joel Ferrer, Rev Melvin Villanueva, Rev Edmund Panag, Rev Jose Ruiz, Rev Arnel Arquisola, Rev Dan Paderes, Rev Provy Cadelina, Rev Kent Jesalva, son of Dr Jesalva and Bro Rey Subrabas.

The mission conference reportedly ended with all the participants recharged and empowered with the fiery exhortations delivered and workshops done during the entire duration of the three day World Missions Conference.
