The Dead Sea Scrolls discovery which can be considered to be of paramount significance has nailed the foundation of the Christian faith.
AN OVERWHELMING EXCITEMENT came after a large throng of pastors numbering some 105 along with at least 28 pastor's wives, 300 out-of-town guests and some 234 congregational workers from different Christian Assemblies of Baptists from neighboring provinces in the Visayan region and Mindanao arrived at the Newlife Bible Baptist Church in this town to participate in the 10th World Missions Conference held last May 12- 14, 2009, sources
WARNINGS are important, without which many will suffer from danger and destruction. Smokers are warned in every pack of cigarette that ‘Smoking is hazardous to health”. There are warning signs in places with high voltage areas; No Trespassing signs in private properties are also placed, etc. Likewise, the Holy Bible gives solemn warnings:
How do you get from the place of disappointment to the place of delight?
How do you get from this bitter experience where it’s all dry and there’s nothing to drink and you’re in the middle of the desert, how do you get from there to paradise, to easy street?
WHILE a lot of churches across the country are celebrating their victories for another year perhaps with a big bang or a whimper same is met with gusto and thanksgiving among its members. Last June 14, 2009, the Cubao Bible Baptist Church led by Rev Won Bae Kim celebrated their 20th victorious years with the Lord Jesus along their side as well.

THE theology of the New Testament (NT) is centred on the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus is the main theme of the whole Bible, both Old and New Testaments. He is concealed in the OT, but revealed in the NT. The theology of the NT is also based on the fact that Jesus is the Messiah and that He has come to inaugurate the New Covenant and the Kingdom of God. Through Jesus, the Messiah, God has made a new agreement with His people Israel (see Jeremiah 31:31) and through them, with the Gentiles as well. Through the New Covenant all peoples, both Jews and Gentiles can come into the Family of God.
Shema Yisrael or simply called Shema (Hebrew: ; “Hear, [O] Israel”) are the first two words of a section of the Torah (First 5 books of the Bible) that are considered as centerpiece of the morning and evening prayers among Jewish people. The first verse encapsulates the monotheistic essence of Judaism. Shema runs like this:
1. Why must we fish for souls?
A.The Lordship of Jesus Christ that should control us, Matt. 28: 18-20, 2 Tim. 4:1-2, 5
B.The Love of Christ that should constrain us, 2 Cor. 5: 14-15; 2 Tim. 2:10; Jn. 10: 15-16.
C.The Lost Souls of Men that should concern us, Matt. 9: 35-38; Luke 15: 1-2, 3-7, 10.
DID YOU KNOW that the name “Tanakh” is a Hebrew acronym formed from the initial Hebrew letters of the Masoretic Text’s three traditional subdivisions: The Torah (“Teaching”, also known as the Five Books of Moses), Nevi’im (“Prophets”) and Ketuvim (“Writings”) - hence TaNaKh. The elements of the Tanakh are incorporated in the Bible, better known as the “Old Testament".

AND that’s how Glencairn Baptist Church’s brethren in Toronto went agog over it’s unstoppable development in terms of physical and spiritual growth. At 24, it has grown with over 300 active and faithful members under it’s fiery ( at the pulpit) yet a lion hearted minister and a jolly good (looking) fellow, the Reverend Luis Notario, with wife Meriam ( and deacons) at his side.

Outreach Ministry (OM)
An Outreach Ministry (OM) is the initial road towards becoming a Mission Congregation. It begins from a Home Bible Study group outside the 50-mile radius from the main church. It is a congregation with a church potential.
“LET every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Every moment, every day
Father glorify Thy name
Not just tomorrow, but today
Use me Lord, I pray
I don’t need more, I have enough
You complete my being
You love me now, You’ll love me always
Just as I am, just as I am
IN our society today, people look up to many role models. These role models may include a family member, a friend, or a celebrity. Most of the time, we look to celebrities and aspire to be like them. As we watch movies, sporting events, or concerts, we become more and more attracted to the glamour, fame, and money involved with these celebrities. As young people grow up, they are looking up to these celebrities, imitating their clothing, their language, and even their lifestyle. These celebrities, however, are not perfect. In fact, they may be the biggest moral failures in spite of their glamour, fame, and money. The one true role model we should all be aspiring to is the One, Jesus Christ.
THE MONTH OF MAY was set aside to be the Global Prayer month. It is a call to all Christians around the world to unite in prayer. Why is this so? The faith of Christians are tested more than ever by the many problems brought about by the worldwide economic debacle, the rising poverty index seen in the many industrialized nations, the closure of many companies that rendered millions without jobs, the break-up of many families, and rebellious children against parents and authorities. The sad part is that many of our young people are hooked to drugs. Addiction to drugs is one of the causes of gang wars that have killed many youths before they reach 22 years of age.
6,000 years ago according to Biblical Chronology. There are those who seem to think man goes back much further than that but the facts show us that our recorded data is comprised of only 6000 years. There are not even “quick notes” which say, “We are here and will be writing shortly” or, we are in the process of developing ballpoint pens and so it will only look like the earth has been around 6000 years by the time we get to the year 2009.
suffering from cleft abandoned by a heartless mother in a flea market in Congo was left to die but miraculously found by a Filipino Baptist missionary recently. Dr. Felicidad Felicilda, a medical practitioner and a surgeon by profession from Talisay Cebu, who turned to serve God as a missionary in this poor country took pity of the child, brought him to his place and nourished him. Soon after, Dr Felicilda performed a successful cleft surgery on the child. The Samaritan doctor reported that in Congo, a child born with a physical deformity is considered to be a curse and so most of them are thrown elsewhere to die rather than live and bring further misery to the family.
MANY theologians believe the seven churches of Revelation 2 and 3, while historically real, also represent seven different stages in the development of the Christian faith. According to this view, we are now living out the Laodicean Age. This makes sense. “Laodicea” means rule of the people. It refers to the extremest definition of “democracy” which is, the majority determines what is right or wrong. Are we not seeing today such unprecedented trends as people seek to redefine gender, marriage and the family from what they always were to what they have never been? Are we not witness to the dogged persistence of a growing number that want to remove from the earth every vestige of God, faith and religion? We see morality by consensus.
We celebrate today Father’s Day. It is not only fitting but really Biblical to recognize and honor our fathers, and even set a special day like this to do so. Thank God for our fathers and the distinct role He gave them in being the nourisher, protector and upholder of their family. The Bible in 1 John 2:13-14 speaks of a father as one advanced in the knowledge of Christ. In verse 13a it says, “I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the beginning.” Again in verse 14a it says, “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the beginning.” Our earthly fathers must truly be a reflection of our Heavenly Father.
