THANKSGIVING

As we hold our Thanksgiving
Service today, may we truly be
cognizant and grateful of the many
good things and blessings God
bestowed upon us this year. This
will be highlighted by the giving of
our Thanksgiving Offering. May our
Thanksgiving be truly a reflection
of a thankful heart, and a fitting
expression of our deep gratitude
for God’s grace and faithfulness
upon our lives! The thanksgiving
offering will be basically dedicated
for and used to assist in addressing
the various needs of Missions and
partnering Churches, our World
Missions Ministries Center ongoing
construction concerns, and
also in the preparations for our 56th
Church Anniversary and 10th World
Missions Conference on February
14 and 16-18 respectively. The
Bible in Psalm 92 affirms, “It is a
good thing to give thanks unto the
Lord, and to sing praises unto thy
name, O most High: To shew forth
thy loving kindness in the morning,
and thy faithfulness every night.”
Again, a very familiar passage in 1
Thessalonians 5:18,reminds us, “In
everything give thanks: for this is the will of
God in Christ Jesus concerning
you.” The Bible is indeed replete
with exhortations calling us to
thankfulness. A thankful heart
really brings the peace of God in
our life, makes us a positive and
praising person, and enables us to
experience contentment.
My dear brethren, we can never say thank you enough to our parents, friends, leaders, and most especially to our ever faithful and loving God. May our thanksgiving really be backed up by our thanks-living and truly becomes an integral part of our lives. This would consequently change our attitude toward life, causing us to become more positive, gracious, loving, and humble. May today’s expression of thanksgiving, individually and as a Church Body, be the best ever, coming from a sincerely grateful and obedient heart! May the Lord help us to be truly grateful people!
All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory,
