NO GOOD MAN/PEOPLE WILL GO TO HEAVEN (Eph 2:8-9 Mar 8:36)

EPHESIANS 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.

MARK 8:36
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

I. WHY NO GOOD MAN/PEOPLE WILL GO TO HEAVEN?
1. According to the Bible, NO ONE IS GOOD EXCEPT GOD.
MARK 10:17-18 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and ask him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God.

ROMANS 3:9-12
(9) What then? Are we better that they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
(10) as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
(11) there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
(12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

“ALL ARE SINNER”
ROMANS 3:23
for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
II. HOW A SINNER CAN GO TO HEAVEN?
1. A sinner must repent….

LUKE 13:1-5
(1)There were present at that season some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
(2)And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans, because they suffered such things?
(3)I tell you, Nay: but EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall all likewise perish.

2. A sinner must be born again…

JOHN 3:3-7
(3)Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be BORN AGAIN, he CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
(4) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
(5) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3. A sinner must believe/ must have faith with Jesus Christ.

JOHN 3:16-18
(16) For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God
